"Grieving doesn’t make you imperfect.
It makes you human."
Sarah Dessen

Welcome and warm hugs from me to you at this time…
If you’ve arrived here because you have experienced a loss recently, please accept my deepest sympathy. I’m deeply sorry for your loss. The loss of so many things, many not visible.

Death, is such a foreign experience for many of us, that when it occurs, it can feel like the world is spinning and you almost reach for something to hang onto. Nothing is the same again, everything looks and feels different.
I know this, because I have experienced it, first hand.

My personal experience
- the hardest one.

When my girls lost their Dad, they were 10 and 15. It felt like I had stepped into another world, a foreign world, where the door slammed behind me and it was locked. Thanks to Glioblastoma Brain Cancer, they had spent 18 months knowing this was inevitable, but it made no difference.I will never forget the sound of my children’s grief; they were devastated, broken. Everyone was driving around in their cars, going about their business and I wanted to scream!
However, death and grief is not a place to stay. Hopefully, in time, it’s something we assimilate. We learn to walk with it. Of course, it's not an easy road, and we frequently got hooked by moments of grief, but through all of that pain, I have grown in ways I never knew possible and I have two amazing young women who are wise beyond their years, and together we share a very healthy appreciation of the fragility and simple things in life!
None of this makes me an expert, but having walked with grief, I have some insight into what you are going through.
How I can assist...
This is no doubt a difficult time for you and your family; death is however, part of our lives and hopefully the ceremony I can create with you, will not only be a fitting farewell of your loved one, but the start of the healing process. It may sound strange, but although we all wish we could avoid it, a funeral ceremony can be very calming, memorable and a special window in time, where you are supported by people who love and care about you, united in reflection.

If you are planning a memorial, spreading of ashes etc. you're very welcome to reach out about this, or any other service you may be planning. There's so many questions and things to consider, I'm always happy to help you in any way.

I will guide you through the process and together, we will create a ceremony; a lovingly prepared tribute to your loved one, in line with your and your loved one's wishes.

Kind words....
"Tanya, you went above and beyond to make it everything Nan would have wanted. Thank you ♥♥."

My work and vision...

I am beyond grateful to work with many Funeral Directors and I feel extremely privileged to do so. I have such passion and a deep investment in my funeral work, to me, it's not work. It’s about helping and supporting people; offering insight-based empathy and understanding.
The Funeral Industry is changing and via a Celebrant lead service, the options for creating personal and unique ceremonies are without boundaries!
My vision is to help to take the fear and apprehension out of the process by creating an experience that commences some healing in a positive manner. I totally respect the desire for traditional ceremonies and more often than not, that is what I happily provide, because that is what is appropriate and or requested. I’m all about what the family wants. Without question.
If you are after a “lighter version” we can definitely explore different options.
